Litigation Practice

Mr. Johnson began his is career as an antitrust lawyer and served as adjunct professor of antitrust law at the University of Georgia Law School. His antitrust practice has included service as principal Georgia antitrust counsel for a major automobile manufacturer and as coordinating antitrust counsel for a national insurance rating organization. His litigation practice has expanded to include health policy, education policy, tax, employment, securities, eminent domain, zoning, and litigation of commercial disputes.

  • Successfully defended a multinational auto manufacturer against numerous antitrust claims.



  • Successfully defended a Fortune 100 telecommunications carrier against a claim by a major corporate customer seeking to set aside long-term contract.



  • Successfully defended a student loan guaranty agency against class actions seeking to set aside loans made to borrowers dissatisfied with the quality of their education.



  • Successfully defended a Fortune 10 technology company against claim under South Carolina Unfair Business Practices Act.



  • Successfully obtained summary judgment in employment cases on behalf of numerous clients, including a multinational pharmaceutical company, a Fortune 500 hospitality company, and a major regional hospital system.



  • Secured several multi-million dollar judgments in favor of a regional hospital system regarding a state's administration of its Medicaid program.
